and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join
our Data Services Management (DSM) team as Risk Manager - Data Sience.
In this key role, you will build and maintain difficult data management and analytics solutions across Europe, Middle East, and Africa
(EMEA).
About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon
supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations.
The DSM team is a support function to Security and Loss Prevention with responsibility to build data management and
analytics solutions to provide the right information at the right time. This includes providing data-
driven as well as decision-making solutions that help Security and Loss Prevention to identify,
prioritize, initiate, and conduct successful investigations in the different business lines. The DSM team builds solutions to forecast losses, simulate and measure the impact of security-related
measures to enable Security and Loss Prevention to proactively address security-related risks.

As a Risk Manager on the DSM team, you will join a team of professionals supporting the Security
and Loss Prevention team with building as well as maintaining scalable and efficient data
management and analytics solutions.
To achieve this goal, you will manage and lead difficult business intelligence and data analytics projects with limited guidance and drive initiatives that impact organisational goals and metrics. You will lead the design and implementation of business intelligence solutions by critically assessing stakeholders' requests to develop the best solution and by leading exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends by utilizing statistical methods for data interpretation.
You also lead business intelligence analytics to optimize business processes and ensure the optimization and efficiency of business intelligence processes in general. You will act as subject matter expert for business intelligence tools as well as methodologies and provide technical leadership in troubleshooting business intelligence issues. Finally, you will conduct performance tuning of business intelligence queries and dashboards and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in business intelligence technologies.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Relevant advanced experience building complex SQL queries with large scale datasets
- Relevant advanced experience building products on data visualisation tools (e.g., QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Relevant advanced experience with data modelling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Relevant advanced experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- A relevant advanced degree or advanced degree equivalent
- Relevant advanced experience with multiple python libraries
- Relevant advanced experience creating, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models
- Relevant advanced experience with AWS solutions such as S3, Lambda, SageMaker,
- Redshift
- Understanding of statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared)
