The MULTI is the world's first ropeless elevator that transports multiple cabins in a single shaft - both vertically and horizontally. MULTI creates unlimited new possibilities for how we build cities in the future.


  • Define & drive the manufacturing strategy for MULTI in collaboration with the TKE organization
  • Analyze & assess the current manufacturing processes (prototype), initiate manufacturing improvements and lead projects for Design to Costs / Supply chain substitution together with the Supply Chain Engineering, R&D and Purchasing team
  • Define the Make or Buy Strategy & concept
  • Identify and lead product cost reduction projects by uncovering potential savings and driving initiatives to successfully implement cost-saving measures
  • Advise R&D teams to use the best and most cost efficient methods with respect to design, manufacturing, technology and assembly
  • Support R&D team with consultancy of production processes, technologies, and assembly methods & processes
  • Strong involvement in supplier selection and production technology processes
  • Select the right manufacturing method regarding costs, timing, tools etc.
  • Assess & consult Design to Manufacturing together with R&D
  • Develop a database / tool for estimates, calculation, and guideline for R&D

  • Bachelor & master's degree in engineering or related field is required
  • 5 or more years' engineering experience in a manufacturing engineering environment required.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and assembly required
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making skills are required
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others required
  • Must possess strong effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Windchill PLM & SolidWorks is an advantage
  • Demonstrated knowledge of high mix/volume manufacturing methods, procedures, and cost-reduction techniques
  • Knowledge in value stream analysis
