The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of operational excellence projects with different business partners globally across the whole ZEISS group to deliver the desired results. We are looking for an enthusiastic and result-driven Manager join our Cororate Operational Excellence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of operational excellence projects with different business partners globally across the whole ZEISS group to deliver the desired results. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize Operation processes and increase efficiency
- Consulting internal customers developing holistic solutions based on best practice approaches
- Identify opportunities for improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
- Lead and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management
- Collaborate with the Corporate Operational Excellence team to develop and maintain best practice solutions and procedures
- Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation for high impact projects
- Provide leadership and mentorship and develop a high-performance culture
- Coach, educate, and develop continuous improvement skills and competencies across the organization.
- Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of experience in a production optimization or operational excellence role in a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of production optimization principles (like Lean Management, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management)
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record in driving continuous operational excellence and supporting cultural transformation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Willingness to travel (internationally)
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
