The Marketing Manager at 17 Sport will be a central figure in shaping and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our clients' and internal projects' objectives. Job responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive and holistic marketing strategies for clients and internal projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overarching client / business objectives.
- Manage and optimize digital channels, including social media, email campaigns, and website content, to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Using market research, develop and translate concise and quantifiable business goals into marketing communications strategies and activations.
2. Communication Strategy
- Develop comprehensive communication plans to support various projects and clients in achieving their missions, from rolling out research papers to executing global social media campaigns and more.
- Think strategically and holistically across projects to identify opportunities for integrating communications and creative elements that deliver effective outcomes.
- Manage communications across clients and projects, ensuring adherence to communication guidelines, and handling crisis and reputational communications when needed.
3. Traditional and Digital Marketing:
- Oversee and coordinate traditional marketing efforts, including events, sponsorships, and print media.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, encompassing social media, email campaigns, and online advertising.
- Brand Management:
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing channels and materials.
- Contribute to the evolution and refinement of the brand identity in alignment with internal and client missions.
4. Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision and goals.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction.
5. Content Creation:
- Lead the development of compelling, authentic, and impactful content, aligning with brand messaging and values.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tell compelling stories about our clients’ initiatives, athlete stories, community events and initiatives, and our internal project impact.
6. Community Engagement:
- Foster connections with key audiences and communities through interactive and meaningful campaigns.
- Collaborate with influencers, athletes, and community leaders to amplify our impact.
7. Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness, impact, and success of marketing campaigns.
- Provide regular reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Translate data and research into valuable insights for the creative team, enabling the development of impactful work and driving positive results.
8. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including partnerships, events, and client relations, to align marketing efforts with overall agency goals.
9. Innovation:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for marketing innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing management roles with a focus on both traditional and digital marketing. Additional bonus for experience within the sports or purpose-driven sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the sports industry and purpose-led campaigns / activations.
- Experience working in a marketing or creative agency. Start-up environment experience is a bonus.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content marketing, and SEO.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Ability to speak and write in French a bonus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
