We prioritize empirical evidence and iterative experimentation through A/B testing over lengthy decision-making processes, and strive to stay on the cutting edge of search technology.Your responsibilitiesTechnical Leadership: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine learning algorithms (incl. information retrieval, ranking, classification) to enhance search engine performanceTeam Management: Lead a team of 4-6 data scientists, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional developmentMLOps and Scalability: Ensure the deployment and management of scalable and maintainable machine learning services through effective MLOps practicesInnovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation within the teamStakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders (CHECK24 management, IT and stakeholders from business units) to ensure right priority and support best possible user search experience Your skillsMaster’s degree or PhD in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable course of studyHands-on experience in developing machine learning services in Search, Natural Language Processing (e.g., Large Language Models), Recommender Systems, or other areas (4-5 years)Previous experience in leading Data Science teamsPractical experience in building scalable ML infrastructure and solving technical challenges (in cloud or on premise, including deploying microservices using FastAPI, Docker, and ML libraries such as Tensorflow or PyTorch)Your benefitsWe value your commitment: Permanent contracts with an attractive and performance-oriented salary package.
